
Born in Ibe, Bizen City, 1968. Eldest son of Bizen Pottery artist Jika Takesaki. Growing up surrounded by Bizen Pottery, he was fascinated by the beauty of the craftsmanship and aspired to become a ceramic artist. After graduating from the Bizen Ceramic Art Center, he began studying under his mother in 1997 to hone his ceramic skills.
Independent in 2001. He produces mainly sake cups, tea sets, vases, etc. He produces mainly sake cups, tea ceremony utensils, and vases. His style is characterized by the matiere obtained by using the original clay as it is. He uses a climbing kiln for firing and uses the most important clay taste.
2003 First solo exhibition in Kurashiki.
