Taiga Mori

1974Born in Ibe, Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture
Graduated from the Ceramics Center in 2000. Studied ceramic sculpture under Kimura Gyokusyu. Traveled to several European countries to study pottery.
2001 First solo exhibition in Tokyo at Tōbidōri. Rebuilt the back half of his grandfather's Fudai kiln by himself.
2005Seven solo exhibitions at Matsuya Ginza

2006-present Bizen ware instructor at Sanyo Newspaper Culture Course
2008Built and fired a very small mobile anagama kiln that fits on a light truck. The kiln, the production process, and the works were exhibited in the front basement window of Okayama Takashimaya Department Store.

2013.5-7Participated in the ANAGAMA de BIZEN PROJECT. Created a Bizen-style anagama in France. Lecture and exhibition at Adrienne Dubouchet National Museum of Ceramics, Limoges.
2014 Crossed the U.S. (California to New York) over a two-month period, exhibiting in Iowa and New York. Taught Bizen-style kiln firing at a pottery facility in Iowa, etc.
