Located in the precincts of Tesho Jizo Hall, Tesho Jizo is said to bring good luck for academic pursuits, such as improving one's calligraphy and grades. The statue of an infant holding a brush is said to be rare in Japan.
Around the end of June, you can view the rare firefly "himebotaru" that lives on land in the vicinity of the nearby Takitani Shrine. (Although the time of year when these fireflies appear differs from year to year, it is generally said that the best time to view them is two to three weeks ahead of the time of fireflies that appear near the water.)
The area is also home to rare wildflowers and other natural features that have remained untouched.
