What is Bizen Share Cycle?

This service allows you to use a bicycle whenever you like, from any location to any other, without worrying about return times. Anyone can rent a bicycle by tapping their smartphone app or a registered IC card on a bike located at a Cycle Port (bike rental station). One of the service’s key attractions is that you don’t have to return the bike to the same location where you picked it up—you can return it to any nearby Cycle Port. Since the system is unmanned and accepts credit card payments, it’s convenient to use 24 hours a day, whenever you like.

Does the bicycle come with insurance?

As a precaution, we carry insurance to cover injuries to our customers and liability for damages to third parties.
*Any damages exceeding the compensation limit will be the responsibility of the user.。

Is there an age restriction?

There is no age restriction, but riders must be at least 145 cm tall. The saddle height can be adjusted to a comfortable riding position (all bicycles are the same model—20-inch small-wheeled bikes). Please note that we do not provide children’s bicycles or child seats.

Can I rent multiple bikes at the same time?

You may use only one bicycle at a time per user ID. If you wish to use multiple bicycles at the same time, you must register each one separately.
*You may use the same name, email address, cell phone number, credit card, etc., as those used during registration.
*You cannot use the same ID.

Do you rent out helmets?

We do not rent out equipment. We recommend that customers bring their own helmets, wear them, and ride with them on.
*Please note that, following a legal amendment effective April 1, Reiwa 5, wearing a helmet while riding is now a recommended practice. We ask that each rider decide for themselves whether to wear one.

How do I rent a bike?

To start using the service, press the “Start” button on the control panel mounted on the bicycle, then scan the 2D barcode using the app.
*You must register as a member in advance.。

Do I have to return the bike to the same station where I rented it?

You can return the item to any port. Pick it up at the port of your choice and return it to the port of your choice. However, please note that you cannot return it anywhere other than a port, so please be sure to return it to a port.

What should I do if I get a flat tire or my bike is stolen?

Please contact the call center or the Bizen Tourism Association.
We will take appropriate action after verifying your name, contact information, and the details of the situation.

What should I do if I'm in an accident?

If you are involved in an accident while using the service, please take the necessary measures prescribed by law, such as contacting the police immediately. Afterward, please notify the Secretariat of the date and time of the accident, the location, the cause, and the circumstances of the accident. If a settlement or other arrangement regarding the accident is necessary, you are responsible for handling it on your own. Furthermore, notwithstanding the above, if our organization suffers any loss—including cases where we are compelled to pay damages to a third party—we may seek compensation for such damages from you. Please note that while our liability insurance applies to accidents occurring during your use of the service, we cannot assume liability for any damages not covered by the insurance.
