

On Sunday, October 4, 2026, we will hold the “2026 Hinase Oyster Festival (Fall)” in the area surrounding “Gomi no Ichi,” the farmers’ market operated by the Hinase Town Fishermen’s Cooperative.
From the festival-exclusive gourmet treats you can enjoy on-site to hands-on activity booths for kids, and even the “Oyster Tasting & Dessert Tour” that takes you around the entire town of Nissei—here’s a roundup of all the highlights!

- [Limited to 200 servings] Mini Omelet with Oysters on Sale Nissei’s famous “Kaki-oko” is making its festival debut in a convenient mini-size! Students from Okayama University of Commerce will be on hand as cooks and staff to serve you piping-hot portions. It’s sure to sell out, so be sure to get yours early!
- A wide variety of oyster delicacies are all here! From crispy and juicy “Fried Oysters” to “Deep-Fried Oysters” bursting with umami, mouthwatering “Oyster Kamameshi,” and the much-talked-about spicy “Oyster Dan Dan Noodles”—it’s a day filled with oyster-themed delights you can only experience here.
- Oyster Festival Grand Prix to Be Held A Gourmet Grand Prix where participating vendors showcase their culinary skills! Be sure to vote for your favorite drink or dish.
- Fish Petting Pool & Fresh Fish Sale (9:00–11:30) Kids, come on over! This popular activity lets you interact with fish up close—and it’s free to participate (please bring a change of clothes).Don't miss the fresh fish sold by the Nissei Town Fishermen's Cooperative and the mini aquarium.
- Stage Show & Bingo Tournament There’s a packed lineup of events to liven up the venue, including live band performances and a bingo tournament where attendees can participate!

This year’s Oyster Festival isn’t limited to the Gomi Market venue. Look for the banners—participating shops throughout Hinase Town are also serving up their signature oyster dishes and desserts!
