Gomi no Ichiba, located in Nissei-cho, Bizen City, offers a wide variety of seasonal fish.
The lively shouts of the fishermen and the friendly conversation with the ladies are also a part of the fun. The town has been successful in its satoumi restoration activities and is attracting a great deal of attention from within and outside of the prefecture.
It boasts the second largest share of the nation's landings of oysters, a specialty of winter.
The fish are small, but they are very fresh! The owner is also very accommodating, making it a great place to buy souvenirs. Don't forget to bring a cooler box when you come here! You should also try Nissei's new sweets, Oyster Fry Soft and Oyster Gorogorokoro Bento.
