
The Nissei Islands consist of 13 islands of various sizes. The largest island is the Seto Inland Sea National Park, [Shikakui-shima] As the name of the island suggests, there are many wild deer living here. In autumn, visitors can enjoy picking mandarin oranges.
Kashira Island】There are many pensions and guest houses scattered around the island, and in the summer, the island is crowded with visitors enjoying swimming. It is accessible via a bridge from Kakui Island.
Otafu Island, which can be crossed by boat, has a magnificent stone breakwater 100 meters long and 8 meters wide that still retains its beautiful appearance after more than 300 years (registered as a national cultural property). The island is also home to many other historical sites such as Lantern Hall and Rokkaku Well.
Konoshima Island, which can be crossed by boat, is famous as a vacation home and as a place for growing mandarin oranges. Birthplace of Oka Chiaki, composer and enka singer.
Tsuru-jima Island] This is an uninhabited island, known as a place of Christian exile. It is also known as a place of Christian exile, and a monument to Christian martyrs and a statue of Mary, a historical site of Christianity, have been erected there.
Soso Island] An uninhabited island. The entire island is made up of rhyolite.
